Man on The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager - Trailer
Random USB's Sticking Out of Walls and Whatnot!
Across New York, there are USB drives embedded in walls, buildings and curbs. The idea is to create an anonymous, offline file-sharing network in public space!! The drives are completely public and anyone can plug in to drop and download files.
Seriously, you can plug the USB drive into your laptop. Like that guy in the pic down there. It's part of an art project called "Dead Drops" by Aram Bartholl and I have to say, it's one of those things that's so awesome I hate myself for not thinking of it! If I were to find a random USB sticking out of anything and I mean ANYTHING, I would run to it with my laptop like Charlie ran home when he found the last golden ticket! Hey assholes, no viruses, please.

I'm Just In A Rhyming Mood, I Guess
They see the look in his eyes, he flies high as the kites. The sky is just might, the top height of his flight. This guy in his fight, won't be dying tonight. He's shinning as bright as your guidingest light. But ain't no disguising the his fright, he's applying it right. Trying his might to acquire the life the was robbed at first sight. Mind you the one, that battles this fight, will soon overcome, as he has seen the shinning light from his Sun.
Ps. "guidingest" is not a word.
I Think I Wrote A "Poem" Six Years Ago...?
Daniel Bermudez My words absurd, shocks your minds mode. Differences between hot and cold unknown. Pens explode as words fall into place. Metaphors distort mistakes that erase space. Mind state replaced by he who's taste is hate. Trapped on this fake plate defined by checks, I express excess of liquid context that forms to set below your fish nets. Concepts stride, kept but uncaught. Born with the gift that some bought. Before birth my line was sought, way after the fetus has fought the pounds of pot. This is not the resurrection of past souls, this is living the only life I have ever known. It's life, destiny, death and how it unfolds is the only thing left I can control. |

"True Colors" - This video is epic!
“Turn the speakers on and watch the movie in HD Quality. Four month exhausting hard work in an abonded area, no sun just artificial light. The final result, a stop motion movie with no digital effects at all, everything is handmade. About 5000 pictures are processed with an average by 15 pictures per second. The music is by Pretty Lights from Denver, Colorado, thanks Derek!” – QuintessenzCreation

Just a Lil' Something AWESOME For Your Thursday Afternoon!
Time Traveler Captured In Museum Photo!
When you look at most of the two dozen or so people in this photograph, which belongs to a Canadian museum, there's no doubt that they're from 1940, the year in which it was taken. But what about that guy?
Those funky sunglasses? That stamped t-shirt and hippie shawl? The doofy, disinterested expression? He sure as hell doesn't look like any Roosevelt-era bro I have ever seen. Maybe that's just it—he looks like a "bro," which we all know didn't come into existence until the 1970s, at the earliest.
Forgetomori has an extensive analysis of the photo and the mystery man, and, with some help from members of ATS, points out that no single item of his wardrobe is technically out of period.
But his entire essence, especially in contrast to the sea of fedoras and 1940s enthusiasm around him, screams that he's from another era entirely. Sorry, time travel bro, you've been spotted.

Just Announced! The HTC Evo 4G! The first 4G Phone!
I've recently been gunning for a new phone that wont have me bored after only a few months as my Blackberry did.. I think I've found that phone! The new HTC Evo 4G phone that was just announced almost two hours ago!
It's official: Sprint's first WiMax/4G phone is everything we hoped it would be. TheHTC Evo combines the "perfect specimen" hardware of the Touch HD2, the Sense-on-Android smoothness of the Legend, and unprecedented download speeds. It's a beast.
The Evo (rumored as the Supersonic) has the much-loved 4.3-inch screen (480x800 TFT LCD), and 1GHz Snapdragon processor of the of the HTC Touch HD2. But while not even HTC's Sense UI skin could save that phone from its WinMo 6.5 underpinnings, Supersonic will run on the much sleeker Android 2.1. It'll be one of the first US phones to sport the latest and greatest Android OS, although Kat's already fully endorsed the 2.1 and Sense combo that runs HTC Legend in Europe. It also steps up the camera from 5MP to 8MP.
The emphasis on video is clear: the Evo's got HDMI out and a kickstand for full enjoyment of the 720p video of which it's capable. The phone's also got 1GB of built-in storage, along with 512MB of RAM.
The demos Sprint is showing us—of video playback and Google Goggles, do show very impressive download speeds. It also runs Flash seamlessly, a mandatory point these days to differentiate from the Apple mobile products that don't.
Even better? The HTC Evo will work as a hotspot for up to eight devices. No word on pricing on that yet, but it's pretty remarkable that you can run 4G speed internet from one phone that broadly. It's not kidding around, either; in a demo, it enabled the streaming of a scene from Transformers 2 through a Roku. It'll also, Sprint was happy to point out, work on an iPhone or Droid. It'll be available this summer, presumably for a truckload of cash.
It's a historic moment for Sprint, in a couple of ways. First and foremost, the Supersonic is the first 4G phone in the US. While WiMax currently only reaches 34 million people—and isn't yet it New York, San Francisco, or Washington, DC—Sprint partner Clearwire hopes to expand coverage to up to 120 million people by the end of the year. And those that are covered can expect download speeds far beyond what we've become accustomed to on 3G.
The announcement of the Supersonic, in combination with the recent addition of the Nexus One to their network, also puts Sprint in an unusual position of hardware leadership. In just a few weeks they've gone from a middling smartphone line-up to having arguably the two best Android phones on the market.
The biggest questions at this point are availability and pricing. Sprint is keeping mum, just stating a "Summer" availability, and interestingly clarified that not only is it not announcing device pricing, but it's not announcing plan pricing yet either -- sounds like a 4G-on-a-phone surcharge could be somewhere in our future.

NEW Cheap HP Pocketcam Dropping Soon!
Yesterday HP announced the V1020h, a 720p-recording, SDHC card-reading pocketcam. It has a built-in USB plug and an HDMI port for sharing, but the real noteworthy tidbit here is the pricetag: $109.
There's not much more info on the V1020h's specs quite yet, but at $109 it's a good $30 cheaper than the least expensive pocketcams. It's slated to hit shelves this summer and I HOPE that it comes in other colors cause I don't want to have to say PAUSE every time I pull out a purple cam in front of people!
